Chef Cesar Rivera joined the Rosen College of Hospitality Management in 2006 as a Senior Laboratory Technician. He graduated from the Universidad del Este at the International School of Tourism and Hospitality Management in the culinary arts program.

In the beginning of his career, Chef Cesar worked in many restaurants, most of them fine dining in Puerto Rico. He worked as a Chef Instructor for more than 6 years. In 2003, he joined UCC as Coordinator of the Hospitality Department, where he participated in the development of the curriculum of the Culinary and Pastry programs.

The combination of his experience, savvy and exquisite taste has given Chef Cesar the opportunity to actively participate as a Celebrity Chef and Host a live local TV cooking segment for 3 consecutive years in “Univision Puerto Rico”. Frequently he is invited to judge Culinary Competitions and participates as speaker in culinary events and forums.

Chef Cesar’s experiences also include recipe and product developer, food stylist, product demonstrator, food service marketing consultant and gastronomic event planner. His client list includes: KRAFT, General Mills, Old El Paso, Goya, Ron Castillo and Chocolate Cortez.
