Job
Search Tools
The first step in conducting a successful job search is to
define and set career goals for yourself. Career Services
will help you with your career planning. We offer many resources,
including individual counseling sessions, mock interviews,
career workshops, and a career library to assist you.
Students are also encouraged to attend several career workshop
sessions in the fall and spring for additional job search
guidance.
We
advise you to use a combination of job search methods to increase
your chances for success. Your independent job search should
include utilizing the permanent jobs directory found in the
Career Services library. This directory lists permanent positions
received from employers and is updated regularly. Many companies
do not come to campus to recruit, but have excellent permanent
opportunities available. Part of your independent job search
may be contacting someone from our Company Contact List (available
in the Career Services Office) This database contains hundreds
of industry contacts, including addresses, phone numbers,
and email addresses.
