Rosen College Campus Parking and Security Update As you may have noticed we have improved our security and safety here on campus during the summer. The Rosen College campus in now completely fenced and a new guard house has been constructed and is in place at the entrance on Universal Boulevard. This is the primary entrance to the campus and is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The new road adjacent to the student resident apartments and the north side of our campus is almost complete which will give us a second entrance to the campus that will be operational (with a decal) very soon. To ensure that only persons having business with the Rosen College are parking on campus, we have instituted a parking decal system. This electronic readable decal will allow access from the second gate described above. It will also provide access to the campus from the Universal Boulevard entrance where a gate system is in place. Guests who are visiting for the day must stop at the gate house and there they will be issued a pass that is good for the day. The parking lot will be monitored to make certain that only cars with proper decals are parking on our campus. Those without decals will be towed at the owner's expense. We have entered into an arrangement with the property owners directly behind the resident facility to allow our students to park in their parking lot. Although we have signs directing you there, it is most easily accessed by exiting the second gate and bearing to the right. When the road is completed you will be able to enter and exit directly from Universal Boulevard. Until then, please enter and exit this additional parking through the parking lot and the new gate. For your personal safety, please remove your vehicle from the additional parking area by sundown each day. The gates will be closed at 9:00 PM. The parking decals will be provided to faculty, staff, and students at $5.00 each (to cover the cost of the decal). Please fill out the information requested on the form (available in the Three Pillars Café) and bring it to Three Pillars Café cashier along with a $5.00 payment (cash only). The cashiers will collect the form along with the $5.00 payment. Decals may only be purchased by UCF faculty, staff, and students and
are limited to one decal per person. They are non-transferable and do
not have an expiration date. Since the decal will be permanently affixed
to your vehicle, should you change cars, you will need to purchase a
new decal.
