Stephen M. LeBruto, Ed.D., CPA, CHAE is the Associate Dean of the Rosen College of Hospitality Management. He is an Associate Professor in the College and the holder of the HFTP Professorship in Hospitality Financial Management and Technology. Steve's areas of expertise are hospitality accounting and finance; food and beverage cost controls; and hotel operations. Prior to joining the University of Central Florida in 1990, Dr. LeBruto held numerous managerial and executive positions in the hospitality industry.

LeBruto earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida, Master of Science in Accounting from Long Island University, and Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE).

He is the author or co-author of numerous publications in academic journals including the: FIU Hospitality Review; International Journal of Hospitality Management; International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management; Journal of Hospitality Financial Management; Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly; Bottomline; and Hospitality and Tourism Educator. He has also authored chapters for hospitality management textbooks.

Steve is an active member of the: Mid-Florida Chapter of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals; Association of Hospitality Management Financial Educators; Cornell Hotel Society; American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; and Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Educator.
