Dr.
Jackson joined the faculty of the Rosen College of Hospitality
Management in August, 2007. He received his doctorate from
Oklahoma State University, Master’s from the University
of Guelph, Canada, Bachelor’s from Ryerson University,
Canada and Associate of Arts degrees from George Brown
College, Canada. Dr. Jackson is a Certified Hospitality
Accountant Executive (CHAE), Certified Hospitality Revenue
Manager (CHRM), Certified Hospitality Technology Professional
(CHTP) and Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE). He also
earned a certificate in Revenue Management from Cornell
University.
Throughout his twenty year career, Dr. Jackson has held
senior managerial positions with leading hospitality enterprises.
These include hotels, resorts, free-standing restaurants,
and a national airline. His academic positions prior to joining
the Rosen College include, Instructor, Assistant Professor
and program Director. A true Cosmopolitan, Dr. Jackson has
lived, worked and studied in the Caribbean, Europe (Germany
and Switzerland), Canada and the United States.
Dr. Jackson focuses his research in the areas of lodging
operations management, lodging real estate investment trusts
(REITs), hospitality accounting, finance, information technology,
hospitality marketing, asset management, and tourism development.
