Dana Tesone joined the faculty of the Rosen College of Hospitality Management in August of 2001. He is a tenured Associate Professor of Hospitality Management and teaches courses in information systems and management. Before coming to UCF, Dr. Tesone was a faculty member with the School of Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawaii.

Dr. Tesone’s career spans more than 20 years in hospitality management with positions in hotels, resorts, country clubs, free-standing restaurants, night clubs, and casino operations. After many years in hotel operations and administrative management, Dr. Tesone moved into the area of Human Resource Management and Development where he held the positions of Director and Vice President for resort corporations. He began his academic career on a part-time basis in 1989 and has held full-time academic positions that include Department Chair, Associate Professor, Assistant Program Director, and Dean of Hospitality Management at various institutions.

Dr. Tesone focuses his research in the areas of management and technology. He has authored more than 90 scholarly publications. These include journal research articles, books, and refereed conference proceedings.
