Welcome
to Co-op
Students work for
three semesters prior to graduation in paid, progressively
more responsible, career related work experience. Students
are required to establish Learning Objectives at the beginning
of each semester and to complete a Semester Report on their
educational experience at the end of each semester. You
receive
credit for your work experience through 3 Internship courses
HFT 3940, HFT 4941 and HFT 4944. These WebCT courses are
each worth
one credit hour. All students will complete three semesters
as a co-op student to fulfill Internship requirements.
Students
must have a position or internship prior to ADD/DROP for
the
semester in which they expect to earn credit. Students must
work a minimum of 16 hours per week throughout the semester.
Students will register for one of the internship courses
and attend classes as scheduled. You may register
for
only
one Internship per semester. Each successfully completed
Internship course earns 1 hour of academic credit.
