Career Development

Career Development is a lifelong process that begins with self assessment.

Step 1: Begin the process by identifying individual strengths, interests, skills, temperament and values.

Step 2: Evaluate the career alternatives available to them in the workplace that closely match individual needs and preferences.

Students develop practical experience through industry work experiences. Real world experiences give students an idea of what a career field is really like, develop industry experience, and acquire valuable skills.

Finally, students plan their next steps (employment or graduate school) and take the appropriate steps to secure employment or graduate school admission (see job search process)
